The members of Ponds Springs Baptist Church have decided to close the church
after 85+ years of service in the Austin community. PSBC became a part of the
Austin Baptist Association in 1921 and transferred to the Williamson Baptist
Association in 1955. Over the years PSBC supported a variety of ministries,
began Shenandoah Mission (now Shenandoah Baptist Church), and generously
shared their facilities with community groups and other churches.
Although PSBC is closing, the faithfulness of the members throughout the church’s
history will continue to provide for the advancement of the Kingdom. Proceeds
from the sale of the church’s facilities will be used in planting new churches
through the Williamson Baptist Association.
